Ahmed Khan is an Indian choreographer, director, producer, and writer known for his work in Bollywood. He began his career as a child actor in Mr. India (1987) and later gained recognition as a choreographer in films like Rangeela (1995). Over the years, he has choreographed numerous hit songs and directed films such as Lakeer (2004), Baaghi 2 (2018), and Heropanti 2 (2022). He has also produced films under his banner, Paperdoll Entertainment. Known for his high-energy dance sequences and action-packed filmmaking style, Ahmed Khan remains a prominent figure in the Indian film industry.

Ahmed Khan on his fees for Rangeela

In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, Ahmed Khan shares about his fees on Rangeela, “Rangeela…… ha that’s a very good thing, what happened with Rangeela is… nobody has asked me this question you know. Rangeela me Saroj Ji used to charge 25,000  per song, highest paid choreograpgher, hum log the assistants hum log ka per day tha 500 rupees. When Ram Gopal Varma signed me for Rangeela, he paid me 25,000 per song, in that 5-6 months mere pass savva lakh ke aas paas aa gaye the. Toh I asked him, I said, ‘Ramu Ji… this much?’ ‘ya ya this is not your fees, this is the choreographer’s fees in the film, if it was not you, I’d pay Prabhudeva, if not Prabhudeva, Raju Sundaram, if not Raju Sundaram, Saroj Ji, if not Saroj Ji then anybody. The fees is this, that’s locked.’Ab mere liye toh dhakkan out ho gaya na, toh I was like what, toh that he started me with that range toh usko baad, kam lena toh banta hi nahi tha.”

He continued on the same, “Toh uske baad next film I became 50,000, baaki choreographer lete the 15,000, 18,000 aur meri double age ke aur mai le raha hu 50,000 and joh chahiye isko dedo, kyuki mai chota tha toh Sanju Baba, Jaggu Dada yeh log sab hua karte the unke directors hote the, toh mai kuch bolta tha toh bacche se zidd kaun karega, toh they used to say chal karle yaar, chal raha hai tu dekh, aur mai shoot karta tha.”
